COMMITMENT TO LOCAL COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY
We strive to use the freshest, most local ingredients whenever possible for both our restaurant and catering menus. Consistently sourcing our products from as close to home as possible not only guarantees the freshest ingredients will be hitting your plate, but supports the local community in and around the Valley we call home.
From dinner rolls to Smash Burger buns, nothing beats the outstanding products from Two Sons Bakehouse in Jeffersonville, VT. First introduced to the Valley by our executive chef, Sam D’Avignon, Two Sons products can now be found in Mehurons as well as restaurants throughout the area including right here at the Mad River Barn.
Our menu would not be complete without the fabulous meat products from Neill Farm in Waitsfield, which can also be found at Mehurons right in town.
In addition to local bread & meat, Sam partnered with the owners of Marble Hill Farm before the 2022 season to line up their produce selections with the needs of our restaurant & catered events for the season.
Vermont is known for its cows, and subsequently some of the best cheese and dairy in the world. Our menus would not be complete without the products of Cabot Creamery, Vermont Creamery, Jasper Hill Farm, Booth Brothers, Green Mountain Creamery and Monument Farms.
And don’t forget the sweet maple syrup on top of your pancakes (or – local hint – in your coffee) from Georgia Mountain Maples.
